Online Escherichia coli automatic monitoring instrumentThe culture medium used in this system can generate colored compounds with the specific enzyme for continuous spectrophotometric determination. Based on the color change of the water sample to be tested and its relationship with the number of coliform bacteria in the water, relevant mathematical models can be established to obtain the concentration of coliform bacteria. The heat-resistant coliforms and total coliforms can utilize lactose fermentation to produce acid and gas at 44.5 ℃ and 36.5 ℃, respectively, including β - D-galactosidase (E.C.3.2.1.23). β - D-galactosidase can hydrolyze different substrates to produce colored substances.
